How to make Iced Bath Bombs

We have had loads of people ask us how to make bath bombs so we decided to show you how we make our favourite ones, iced Doughnuts.

You will need a specialised mould for this project BUT you can use any mould you can find. We have a half doughnut baking mould which will also work.

YOU WILL NEED:

Hand Mixer or desktop mixer

Bowls

Paper cups or small mixing bowls for the icing

Paper cups for the colour

Spoons and spatulas

Tray

THE RECIPE - BATH BOMBS:

26g Fragrance oil - we used Caramel Butterscotch

50g Polysorbate 20

1 ml Water

Bath Bomb colour - we used Pink Red Carmoisine Fizz - it is very strong so use a SMALL amount.

THE METHOD:

Prep your colour by adding it to the water - mix

Add the Polysorbate and fragrance and mix

Sieve your Bicarb

Add the colour mixture to your bicarb and mix well

Add your Citric acid and mix again

Now you are ready to make bath bombs. Press the mixture into your doughnut pan or put into your moulds and press.

Turn the pan over and tap the top to remove. Or turn mould over and tap out.

Leave for 24hours to get hard.

THE RECIPE - ICING:

1/3 Cup melted Cocoa Butter

Skin Safe colourant amount depends on how dark or light you want the icing

THE METHOD:

Mix the icing well until all the colour and oil is blended well and drizzle or dip your doughnuts then sprinkle hundreds and thousands or other sprinkles on the icing when it is wet.

Let them dry overnight and shrink wrap them.
